Parent Participation
Parent participation is crucial in a child's education. We have a variety of activities and celebrations throughout the year, and parents are encouraged to come in. Your participation makes your child feel important and sends the message that you value school.
Changes in Transportation
If you plan to pick your child up at a different time please write a note. The same if you carpool and your child has to go home with someone different. Also, if you need to have your child in afterschool care please let me know. DO NOT rely on your child to tell me this information, because children often become confused and relay messages incorrectly. If no written note in received, your child will be sent home by his/her usual method of transportation.
Outdoor Recess
Students will go out for recess everyday, unless it is rainy or extremely cold. Please make sure your child has the appropriate clothing according to the weather.
Birthdays
Birthdays are special for everyone, especially for kindergarten students. School birthday recognition is NOT meant to replace birthday parties. If you are having a birthday party and you choose to send in invitations please make sure that the entire class is invited. If you are only inviting a select few please send invitation to home addresses. A simple cupcake or cookie may be sent from home to share with the class during snack time (about 1:00 pm). If you wish to come in and celebrate with us, please let Miss Zustra know ahead of time.
